Feelings are like rivers, no matter how hard we try to contain them, we're better off if we just let it flow; composure be damned. Take a relaxing plunge into Ty Showers' 'Metallic Feelings', and do just that! A mellow, jazz-electronic fusion of sorts, this track is awesome to relax to, yet it also packs an electric punch.
The track commences with an amazing pianist selection and only goes up from there. Infused with calming strings as well as action-packed, improvised, jazzy riffs, this tune does an amazing job at treading the line between the calm and calamity. Peppered with some bass-boosted breaks and blaring, big bandesque horns, creating an interesting contrast and dichotomy, this track stays true to its title.
Overall, a trippy journey through the nature of emotions, this tune fully encompasses the raw and uninhibited roller coaster ride that is life. At times mellow, other times energetic, happy, sad, and a plethora of overlap, this track speaks to the fluidity of ones emotions. By no means complacent and stationary, the meaning behind this piece is to simply 'go with the flow'.
'Metallic Feelings' encompasses a variety of heavy emotions while also giving momentary glimpses into the mundane. Thus the track represent the unnamed, omnipotent and grandiose force that controls us all. God-like to a degree, listening to tracks such as these allows for times of self-reflection as well as healthy dissociation. The bottom line being, no one can control their emotions, rather they can only be mastered. Which ultimately can only occur once one accepts the fact that human feelings are as thick and fickle as metallic rain.

Crisp jazz from Bentley where light keys are sprinkled over bone-dry drums on songs that at times approach drifting ambient music. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 15, 2020
